The first commercial hot air balloon operation in India to receive government approval and a complete license is called Ride on Air Balloon Safari.​

The Ministry of Civil Aviation formally authorized Ride on Air in January 2008 to carry out hot air balloon excursions throughout India. Prior to this, Sky Waltz's Directors spent more than two years collaborating with foreign ballooning consultants and the Ministry of Civil Aviation to create internationally accepted rules and regulations for the start-up of commercial hot air ballooning in India.​

Along with properly educated operational and technical professionals, the Sky Waltz team is made up of highly experienced, globally licensed pilots from Europe, the USA, Australia, Canada, India, and the UK. International operating procedures and internationally recognized safety standards have been in place since the beginning.
